WHAT TO EXPECT
What are the services like? Typically, 200-300 people attend each of our morning services. The gatherings last about 90 minutes and include current music and practical teaching from the Bible in a relaxed, conversational environment. Most weeks, hot drinks are served for those who want to stay and connect informally following the service.
What should I wear? Our focus is on people growing in relationships together. It’s not about our clothes, but about our hearts. So please wear what makes you feel comfortable!
Will I be asked to give money? We receive an offering each week to fund the work and outreach of our church family, but when the offering is taken we encourage guests to be guests and simply enjoy the morning. We encourage those who call Central home to give to God and to the work of the church as an act of worship.
Is the service kid-friendly? Sunday mornings at Central include a special area in the facility for kids newborn to Grade 6 to be encouraged in their lives and relationships in a way that is effective for their age. You are welcome to keep your kids with you in the service, but they might have more fun downstairs! Our Mothers Room is downstairs if you need a place to nurse, and change tables are available in both washrooms and the nursery.
How can my kids participate in the program? Check-in takes place downstairs and opens 15 minutes prior to the service time. Programming for newborn through Kindergarten lasts for the full service. Grades 1-6, after being checked in, will spend the first part of the service with you and then be dismissed to the program. At this time, screened and trained volunteers will meet them in the foyer and walk them downstairs. You will be given a unique code and you must personally check your kids out after the service is finished. If your child needs your help, we’ll send you a personal text.
