Pain and Suffering are part of the human condition. Everyone has or will experience pain and/or suffering in their lives. How do we respond to it? Where is God in it? How can we get through it in an honest faith filled journey?

To help us answer these questions, we invite you to join us for a seminar on Walking with God Through Pain and Suffering. Pastor Tom will share some of his own challenges along with a review of Tim Keller’s book by the same title. We will also hear a testimony of someone who has gone through and reflected on pain and suffering in her family’s life. Finally, we will have time to share with others at the seminar and pray for one another.

Refreshments and handouts will be provided.

Hey Central Young Adults! You’re officially invited to Everybody’s Birthday Night — our one-night celebration where we’re throwing a birthday party for everyone at once! It’s happening on Tuesday, May 13 from 7-9pm at Connors Hill. We’ll have cake (of course), a White Elephant Gift Exchange (see below for details) and some fun surprises along the way! Ladies of Sherwood Park, we are doing a drop-in gathering on the 10th of each month. No registration required, just come and connect!

Games Night! Back by popular demand, our May Connect Event will be another Games Night at the church! Bring a favourite game and a shareable snack if you like, or just come and join for a time of connecting over board games!

New for this games night, we are including the option to get outside and play some pickleball! If you'd like to join the pickleball fun, wear some running shoes and bring a paddle if you have one (we will have extras available for those who don't). No skill or experience required. We will give a short lesson at the start then just have some fun hitting the ball around in a fun and relaxed environment (weather permitting).

Board gamers and pickleball players all meet at the church at 7pm. Those participating in pickleball will carpool to the outdoor courts nearby and be back to the church at 9pm.

The Central Potluck & Activity Group is for unmarried adults age 30-43 (if you’re 29 or 44, you’re still invited) across all three sites. We meet monthly and fluctuate between activities and potlucks at various locations.

Our next event is on Saturday, May 10 at 6:30pm at Professor WEM’s Adventure Golf at West Edmonton Mall. Come on out for a competitive round of mini golf and some fun with friends! We hope you’ll join us.

Hey YA’s! We’re kicking off a brand new series, and we’re stoked about it! Starting Tuesday, May 6, we’re diving into the book of Philippians — a short letter packed with joy, encouragement, and some seriously good truth for everyday life.

We’ll start things off by looking at Philippians 1:1–11 — Paul’s opening words to the church in Philippi. It’s all about gratitude, partnership, and this deep joy that doesn’t depend on circumstances.

Whether you’ve read Philippians a bunch or it’s your first time, come ready to learn, laugh, and grow together. We’ll meet at Connors Hill from 7-9pm. Bring a Bible if you’ve got one, bring a friend, and bring your whole self — we can’t wait to start this new journey with you!

Join us on Easter Sunday, April 20th, as we celebrate that Jesus’ death was not the end of the story. He is alive! These services are a great opportunity to invite a friend to consider the good news of Jesus and life found in Him. On Easter Sunday, we have an exciting opportunity to partner with Camp Falcon Rock (CFR) in Romania through a special offering. CFR is doing incredible work, providing a place where young people and families can experience the love of Christ through dynamic camps, leadership development, and discipleship. The camp’s impact continues to grow, serving as a beacon of hope and transformation in the region. Worship with us on Good Friday, April 18th either in person or online as we remember Jesus’ sacrifice for us. Good Friday Services will be held at Connors Hill, Southeast, Sherwood Park, and online at 10am. The service will be available online on demand starting at 12pm.

Parents, guardians and caregivers are invited to an evening of conversation, learning and desserts at our Critical Conversations event on Saturday, April 12th from 7-9pm at Connors Hill (9419 95 ST NW).

Come join the conversation! The topic for April 12th is “Family Discipleship - the 5 Most Impactful Habits,” presented by Christie Thomas who has written a number of books for kids and families. She will share some ideas to help you go to the next level (no matter where you are starting from) in discipling your kids. If you are already doing family discipleship in a way that works, please join us to share your experiences with others. This event is for adults only, so unfortunately we will not be able to accommodate kids or youth.

Our largest Central Women gathering of the year, for all women at all sites, is happening Saturday, April 5th from 11am-1pm. The focus of the event is "Refresh & Renew" and we're planning for a time of worship, devotion, fellowship, and a spring-picnic-inspired meal. Registration is now open! Sign up HERE. We'd love to have a large, beautiful, and uplifting event where as many women as possible can gather and participate.
