Women of Southeast!

We invite you to join us as we celebrate the launch of our Women’s Ministry at Southeast on Wednesday, September 16, from 7–9 p.m. at the church!

Come enjoy an evening of connection, encouragement, and community as we gather together and look ahead to all that God has in store for the women of Southeast. We’d love to have you join us!

Come on out for an evening of games and goodies on the back lawn of the church (*weather permitting we may move inside). Bring an outdoor game or a goodie to share!

“Honor your father and mother.” It’s a simple command that we may know as the 5th commandment from God. But how do we honor aging parents when that labor feels overwhelming and, oftentimes, thankless?   How do we balance responsibility, love, seeking help, our emotions and the dynamics of a changing relationship with aging parents?

Caring for aging parents is a common but complex journey for all involved. So we invite you to come together to explore this topic and gain support and resources for your journey.  We will hear a testimony from someone who has walked this journey with both of her parents. There will be a question-and-answer time, followed by group sharing and prayer.

This seminar is for those who have aging parents who are beginning to need or already need help with everyday life.

We also welcome our seniors to come with their perspective on what is and isn’t helpful from those who care for them.

Faith, like a steeped cup of tea, develops a rich, deep character and robust strength the longer it is allowed to sit and mature. Please join us for a celebration of spring, faith and the newness of what's to come. Please note as May 10th is Mother's Day we decided to meet one day earlier! Lettuce Eat! We’re hosting a salad potluck April 10th @ 7:00pm! Bring your favorite salad (with ingredients list included please) and your muffin tins for sampling. Alongside our salad feast we will enjoy some encouraging sharing from some women from our church!

We will hear from Edee Miazga, who will share a heartfelt testimony of how God has been her daily strength through life’s storms. Through seasons of challenge and uncertainty, she has experienced the steady faithfulness of the Lord. Her story will be a beautiful reminder that God walks with us and sustains us in every season of life.
