Each January, we dedicate a week to intentionally clearing our schedules—both as a church and in our households—to focus on prayer. Through nightly gatherings, we come together to share our hearts with Jesus and listen for what He wants to say to us.
We invite you to join in three meaningful ways:
Experiment with new rhythms: Explore spiritual practices to make new room for God’s presence and power as you step into the new year.
Clear your calendar for Prayer Week: Plan to fully engage in nightly gatherings and prayer events (January 12-16) with our church community.
Share what you’re hearing: Listen for what Jesus is speaking to you and to our church, and share these insights with our leadership throughout the month.

Authentic Living is a 10-week course for Christians at all stages of life, focused on spiritual growth, emotional health, and intentional living. It is part of the Freedom Session curriculum developed by Pastor Ken Dyck of BC.
We have run the full Foundations course of Freedom Session numerous times at Central, and it has been deeply life-giving for many. We’re excited to bring the Authentic Living portion of that program back into the life of our church.
Throughout the course, participants will learn how to hear and respond to God’s voice, establish healthy priorities, process disappointment and conflict in life-giving ways, and develop an authentic life plan rooted in biblical truth. This is a safe and supportive space to get real about faith, character, relationships, and the patterns that shape our lives.
The program is scheduled to run Wednesday evenings, January 28 - April 1 (10 consecutive weeks) from 6:30-8:30pm at the Sherwood Park site. The cost is $30 which covers the workbook and course materials.
Registration is required. Please RSVP HERE!
