We hope you can join us for our final G@P of the season, happening on Tuesday, May 6th at 6:15pm at our Southeast site. This gathering will start off with a potluck, will also feature music by Freedom Singers. Pastor Tom will be sharing a devotional on The Powerful Faith and Influence of Grandparents In this Chaotic World.
We hope you’ll join us!
Hey YA’s! We’re kicking off a brand new series, and we’re stoked about it! Starting Tuesday, May 6, we’re diving into the book of Philippians — a short letter packed with joy, encouragement, and some seriously good truth for everyday life.
We’ll start things off by looking at Philippians 1:1–11 — Paul’s opening words to the church in Philippi. It’s all about gratitude, partnership, and this deep joy that doesn’t depend on circumstances.
Whether you’ve read Philippians a bunch or it’s your first time, come ready to learn, laugh, and grow together. We’ll meet at Connors Hill from 7-9pm. Bring a Bible if you’ve got one, bring a friend, and bring your whole self — we can’t wait to start this new journey with you!
Questions? Talk with Graydon.
The Connors Hill Senior's Ministry Team will be hosting a drop in light lunch on Wednesday, May 7 from 12-1pm. All 55+ are welcome. Lunch will be served in Fireside room immediately after 1029 Bible Study.
Friday, May 9th is a Central Youth Site Night! Come on out to your site (the site you usually attend on Sundays) for some games, worship, teaching and small groups!
Sherwood Park Youth will NOT meet at their site but will instead meet at the Probert’s. Please contact Jess for details.

Ladies of Sherwood Park, we are doing a drop-in gathering on the 10th of each month. No registration required, just come and connect!
Games Night! Back by popular demand, our May Connect Event will be another Games Night at the church! Bring a favourite game and a shareable snack if you like, or just come and join for a time of connecting over board games!
New for this games night, we are including the option to get outside and play some pickleball! If you'd like to join the pickleball fun, wear some running shoes and bring a paddle if you have one (we will have extras available for those who don't). No skill or experience required. We will give a short lesson at the start then just have some fun hitting the ball around in a fun and relaxed environment (weather permitting).
Board gamers and pickleball players all meet at the church at 7pm. Those participating in pickleball will carpool to the outdoor courts nearby and be back to the church at 9pm.
This event is for attendees of the Sherwood Park Site. To learn more about events at your site, you can contact the church office.
Pain and Suffering are part of the human condition. Everyone has or will experience pain and/or suffering in their lives. How do we respond to it? Where is God in it? How can we get through it in an honest faith filled journey?
To help us answer these questions, we invite you to join us for a seminar on Walking with God Through Pain and Suffering. Pastor Tom will share some of his own challenges along with a review of Tim Keller’s book by the same title. We will also hear a testimony of someone who has gone through and reflected on pain and suffering in her family’s life. Finally, we will have time to share with others at the seminar and pray for one another.
Refreshments and handouts will be provided.
This is a 55+ seminar but adults of any age are welcome to attend. Please RSVP HERE so we can plan accordingly.
Join us on May Long Weekend Sunday (May 18) after our 11am service for a picnic at the park! We'll be heading just up the street to Peacock Park shortly after the service. Feel free to walk or drive. Bring a lunch for your family, a blanket, chairs, yard games if you like....no agenda other than hanging out and perhaps meeting a few new people - stay as long as you like!
We’d love for you to be part of our Future Sites Q&A Night on Zoom happening Tuesday, May 20 at 7pm! This will be a chance to hear updates, listen to what others are asking, and stay connected as we continue seeking God’s leading together.
If you’d like to join, just RSVP HERE to get the Zoom link.
You can also submit any questions you have ahead of time HERE. Please send in your questions by May 11 so we have time to prepare thoughtful responses.
Grab your work gloves and come join us for a morning of fixing up our church facility and property! We desire that our location in the middle of Sherwood Park would be both a beacon of light for the message of Christ as well as a place of great hospitality, and we know there are many small projects around the church that will help us to move toward both of these realities. So come on out on Saturday, May 24th from 8:30am-noon for a morning of working alongside other guys from our SP site. Men of all ages are encouraged to participate, and boys in High School are welcome to lend a hand if they accompany an adult. Project supplies will be provided, but you are encouraged to bring along your tools as well.
Sign up to help HERE.

Join us as we commemorate 125 years of faith, community, and God’s unwavering goodness at Central! In the late 1890’s, when Reverend Hagar took his first step towards downtown Edmonton, no one could have imagined the incredible journey ahead.
If Central has been a part of your story now or in the past, YOU ARE INVITED! Celebrate with us as we honour God’s faithfulness and embrace what lies ahead. We can’t wait to see you there!
From a city-wide adventure in The Great 125 Race to an afternoon festival, a BBQ feast, and an evening after-party, Saturday is packed with ways to reconnect and reminisce. Then on Sunday, gather with us for a powerful Worship Celebration at the Winspear Centre, followed by coffee and cookies at the location of Central’s first home.
Space for some events is limited, so please register ASAP!

“I Wonder” is a summer day-camp for kids going into grades 1-6. This camp is built for kids and focuses on curiosity! In this 4-part VBS series, the goal is to engage kids’ imaginations and harness their natural desire to wonder. They’ll not only get curious about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics —they’ll get curious about the God who created it all!
The camp will run June 30th and July 2nd-4th from 9am-12pm, or your child can stay for the full day (until 4:30pm.) The price is $50 for 9 AM -12 PM or $99 for full-day care, which includes programming from Global Aware Care/YEG Summer Camps
If this sounds up your alley, sign up HERE!
