We are also actively renewing and upgrading the facility—improving technical systems, refreshing key spaces, and caring for the building's historic craftsmanship. These thoughtful updates ensure McDougall remains a warm, beautiful, and highly functional venue for events of all kinds.
Our Spaces
McDougall includes a range of functional, flexible spaces suitable for concerts, rehearsals, meetings, meals, and community events. Each room has its own capacity and layout options, giving groups the flexibility to find what best fits their event. Explore the spaces below to see what’s available.
EXTERIOR. A historic 1910 landmark in the heart of downtown Edmonton, McDougall offers iconic architecture and a welcoming presence for concerts, gatherings, and community events.
AUDITORIUM. Our heritage sanctuary seats 1,000–1,100 and is celebrated for its warm, resonant acoustics—ideal for choirs, concerts, church services recordings, and other large gatherings.
BANQUET HALL. This flexible 1,900 sq ft hall comfortably seats 110–135 at tables or 170–210 in rows, with direct access to the kitchen and South Hall (additional capacity)—perfect for receptions, meals, and community events.
MEETING ROOMS. McDougall includes several mid-sized rooms suited for rehearsals, meetings, and workshops: Meeting 101 and 301 (1,000 sq ft each, seating 55–70 at tables or 90–110 in rows) and the Green Room (580 sq ft, seating 30–40 at tables or 45–55 in rows).
