TEACHING RECAP
Summary: In John 15, Jesus claims that the only way to live a thriving, fruitful life is by remaining spiritually and relationally connected to him. And he describes very practically how this connection works and what it produces. In this talk, we’ll uncover the main principle and three core truths about remaining in Jesus, and how the practice of daily scripture can form the backbone of our relationship with him.
Main Points:
Remaining in Jesus is the only way to grow a thriving, fruitful life.
1. Remaining means abiding in a productive friendship with Jesus.
2. Remaining deepens as we listen to, talk with and follow Jesus.
3. Remaining results in God's glory and our joy.
On-Ramps:
Ask Jesus to be your actual friend.
Spend some time meditating on John 15 to plant these truths in your heart.
Consider what a Daily Scripture practice could look like for you, and start it up today!

Jeremy said, “remaining in Jesus is the key to thriving”. Read thru John 15:1-17 and note all the times that Jesus mentions remaining in Him. In your own words, how would you explain what remaining in Jesus is?
Read Galatians 5:22-23. In light of the message in John 15:1-17, how has your view of the fruits of the Spirit been changed and/or strengthened?
Jeremy said, “the sweetness of life is in relationships”. What do you think would change in our world, city, community and neighbourhood if we all had that mindset?
