This fall, we’re launching Central at McDougall, with weekly services beginning October 25! After a summer of significant renovations, there’s one more big job to do: get McDougall sparkling.
Join us for a McDougall Cleaning Day on Saturday, September 5, from 9:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. We’ll be dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning throughout the building as we prepare to open the doors for church, concerts, community events, and everything else that will fill McDougall this fall.
If you can, bring a bucket, rags, and Dawn dish soap (please no other cleaning chemicals). Shop vacs are especially welcome!
Come for the whole morning or whatever portion you can. Please RSVP HERE if you’re able to help!

10:29, the senior adults (55+) Bible Study group, meets at Connors Hill and on Zoom and is open to any senior who is interested in growing their faith and experiencing community with other Christians. We will review the previous Sunday's message with some deeper study into the Bible passage. This will include some teaching time and room for discussion. We will end with some time to share updates and pray together.

Care Visiting Team Interest Invitation
We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If it is serving, then serve. . . If it is to encourage, then give encouragement . . . If it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully. Romans 12:6-8
Do you have a passion for serving, encouragement and mercy? Do you have a compassionate heart for seniors?
At Central, we value people of all stages including the aging and the isolated. Many aging friends can struggle with purpose as they experience transitions like retirement, aging issues and health struggles. It is also easy to forget about those who can no longer regularly join us.
But we want seniors to know that God isn’t done with them. God hasn’t forgotten them. We want to participate in God’s loving purposes by intentionally reaching out to the lonely and those isolated because of aging issues, illness and loss.
So, we’re developing care visiting teams at each of our sites. Team members connect regularly with seniors in need of encouragement and prayer. We go to homes, care facilities or hospitals. We experience Jesus releasing those He’s gifted to bring His hope and love to the isolated.
If this opportunity interests you, please join us for the Care Visiting Team Information Seminar on Wednesday, Sept 9 at 7 PM (at our Connor's Hill site) to discuss this possibility. All prospective team members will need to complete an application process. We will provide teaching, resources and on the job training.
Please RSVP HERE.
Thanks so much for your interest!
Sincerely,
Tom Anderst - Pastor of Seniors

This is one of our favourite times each year! It’s a chance to catch up with those you’ve missed throughout the summer, eat some food, participate in a worship service, and hear a bit about where we’re going as a church this year and how to get on board. We’ll have one short service at ALL THREE SITES at 10am with a BBQ to follow.
At Connors Hill, the church will provide hot dogs, fixings, chips, and drinks. Just bring an appetite!
At Southeast and Sherwood Park, the church will provide the hot dogs, fixings, and drinks. If you are able, please bring a salad, side, or dessert.
