Our Youth AND Young Adults are joining together for a night of worship and encounter with God.

Please join us on Thursday, June 11th at 7PM here at Connors Hill in the Fireside room to hear from one of our Central Partners, Hannah Jol, who serves in South Sudan!

Hannah first served with Serving In Mission (SIM) in 2016 and then returned to the field in 2021 after committing to further service. Having firsthand experience living and working overseas, she understands both the beauty and the challenges of cross-cultural ministry. Because of this, Hannah has felt called to walk alongside others serving in difficult places—helping them not only persevere, but truly flourish in who God has called them to be.

The Connors Hill Senior’s Ministry Team will be hosting a drop in light lunch on Wednesday, June 10 from 12-1pm.  All 55+ are welcome.  Lunch will be served in the Fireside Room immediately after the 1029 Bible Study.

You are invited to join us for a cozy evening around the campfire on Saturday, June 6th, at Connors Hill from 7pm-9pm, sharing in a time of reflection, fellowship and fun as we roast s’mores, drink hot chocolate, and enjoy the warmth and glow of the fire. We will be located on the lawn north of the Connors Hill church. Please bring a camp chair or blanket and warm outdoor clothing.

If weather is poor we will move inside, but the event will carry on, so please still come!

A celebration of life for Alfred Pape will be held on Saturday, June 6th at 11am at Connors Hill with a luncheon to follow. All are welcome to attend.

You’ll hear about what’s been happening in our various ministries and current finances. We’ll also present our proposed 2026-2027 budget and leadership nominations. This event is open to anyone across the life of Central who would like the opportunity to get to know them better. There will be a chance to hear more of their story and heart for ministry as Jeremy spends some time interviewing them.

The purpose is to meet for a time to connect with other women from Connors Hill over coffee/tea and to pray for each other and the world around us. This is a chance to serve our growing congregation and the surrounding community in some practical ways. Projects will include painting, sound panel construction, outdoor cleanup, fence repair, and a handful of other miscellaneous tasks. Please RSVP HERE. All skill levels are welcome!

Get ready for our year-end Wrap Up Party! We will meet from 6-10PM. Supper will be provided! We will have widegames, yard games, and, of course, a bonfire! Make sure to bring your own lawn chair and invite some friends!

Join us every other Wednesday for our Seniors Prayer Group at the Sherwood Park site. Our next gathering will be on May 20th. We’ll meet in the auditorium from 10-11:30am. We hope to see you there!

“Honor your father and mother.” It’s a simple command that we may know as the 5th commandment from God. But how do we honor aging parents when that labor feels overwhelming and, oftentimes, thankless?   How do we balance responsibility, love, seeking help, our emotions and the dynamics of a changing relationship with aging parents?

Caring for aging parents is a common but complex journey for all involved. So we invite you to come together to explore this topic and gain support and resources for your journey.  We will hear a testimony from someone who has walked this journey with both of her parents. There will be a question-and-answer time, followed by group sharing and prayer.

This seminar is for those who have aging parents who are beginning to need or already need help with everyday life.

We also welcome our seniors to come with their perspective on what is and isn’t helpful from those who care for them.

Hey Young Adults!

Join us Tuesday, May 19, for an opportunity to serve with White Cross!

There will be drop-in basketball from 6:00m-7:00pm, and the serve event with White Cross will take place immediately after from 7:00pm-9:00pm.

White Cross is an NAB-wide Christian humanitarian organization that provides medical supplies and relief goods to hospitals, health centres and rest houses in West Africa, with a primary focus on Cameroon and Nigeria. This ministry is a critically-important source of bandages, baby items, medical equipment and other critical supplies.

Interested in participating in worship at a deeper level? You’re invited to audition for the Connors Hill Worship Team! On Monday, May 11th, we will be hosting auditions in the afternoon or evening (sign up HERE for an available time slot that works for you.) We know that “auditioning” can be nerve wracking, but we really hope that the process is a life giving one for you!

Come with your instrument (unless it is drums or keys - we will have that provided). Be prepared to play "Build My Life (Pat Barrett)" in the key of G. AS WELL, bring a song/piece to solo audition your instrument. If you are a vocalist, be prepared to sing along with the "team" and then also have a song/piece to solo.
